Darwin collection

This is (a part of) a case with snails in the Natural History Museum in Londen collected by Darwin. Here a photocopy of the drawings made by the person who had the task to describe the fossils scientifically. The second snail from the right in the uppermost row can be found back on the left photo. When Darwin came back from his long voyage he had to search for specialists to do the identification and description of the finds.
