- vertical distance of the leaf scars 2 or 3 times the height of a scar
- leaf scars occupy about half the width of a rib
- lateral angles rather sharp
- clearly-defined lines descending from the lateral angles
- a curved line above the leaf scar
- no wrinkling, sometimes a very fine marking.
