Glyptostrobus

Glyptostrobus europaeus Heer
Swamp cypress

This conifer is the easiest to recognize, and it is also the most common conifer. There are two types of needles attached to the branches: short, scale-likes ones and longer ones, pressed to the axis. The cone of this plant is more or less circular and has wedgeshaped scales. See the next photo.
