Taeniopteris multinervisTaeniopteris multinervis
Length of the leaf 10.8 cms

This species has very long leaves (up to 40 cms) with parallel margins. There is a prominent midvein from which dichotomizing secondary veins depart. Most finds are fragmentary. In other places seeds have been found attached to the leaves. The relationship with other plant groups is not yet cleared up. Possibly some Taeniopteris-species were early cycas-like plants.
