Asolanus camptotaenia is the only species of the genus. It is
a tree of which the leaflets resemble those of Lepidodendon.
The leaf scars are rhombic and they are arranged in wide spirals. The scars
are always wider than high.
Characteristic is the striation which is swinging in between the scars (photo
on the left).
