Cooksonia caledonica has been
replaced shortly in a new genus,
named Aberlemnia. This name is
derived from the first finding place:
Aberlemno in Scotland.

Forfar region. Lower Devonian (390 million years old).
Height of the plant 3 cm.

Aberlemnia (Cooksonia) caledonica.A plant with
unclear sporangia, but sitting at the back side of the
slab with the plant of the photo on the left, we may
assume that this is also A. caledonica.
