Leaf of Sigillaria

Part of a leaf of Sigillaria sp. Length 12 cm. Coll. Bart Vernooy.
The leaves are not distinguished on species. They are lying detached in the sediments.
They have a ridge on the upper side and two small furrows on the lower one.
It is hardly possible to distinguish them from leaves of Lepidodendron, but they can be
much longer (up to 1 m). The length depends on the age of the tree.

Leaves of Sigillaria are called Sigillariophyllum.
